Sky is the Limit (The Hadza, Baray, Tanzania)

A man holding an arrow in the desert.

The sky is the limit!! A Hadza archer practicing with his bow and arrow. If he starts to excel at what he does, the tribe starts to mock him, and power does not get concentrated. An evolved model of an egalitarian society.

  1. My favorite photo is the archer. The composition and colors are great and it reminds me of Chiron the Healer. This work looks journalistic as a whole. Varies greatly between artful and candid shots. Made me want to see it in an exhibition. I felt close to these people.

    1. The archer keeps on practicing but when he gets too good at it the group starts to mock him so that power does not get concentrated.
